Trigana,
based in the beautiful unspoiled little town of Alvor, began her life in a shipyard
in Lisbon sixty years ago in 1947, and was originally designed as an offshore
cargo vessel, carrying goods such as wheat (trigo) and barley plus a girls
name (Anna) yes, that's where her name came from.
With a little
help, the present owner Toby Marshall purchased and completely renovated Trigana,
fitting her out as a spacious passenger carrying sailing boat.
In 2007 Toby heard about the only other boat of Trigana's class in the south of Portugal "Formosa"
and was lucky enough to purchase her, and rename her "Jessica Liliana"
after Toby's daughters Jessica and Lily, so now her sister ship affectionately
known as Jessica Lily, will be working alongside Trigana.
This year Trigana
and her sister ship Jessica Lily will be working as usual, putting smiles on the
faces of children both young and old.
We do six trips a day, everything, from
morning fishing trips to sightseeing trips, to sunset fishing trips complete with
free sparkling wine.
Our fishing trips this year we know will be spectacular
as we have managed to enlist the help in the form of a new skipper, one of the
most respected and experienced Alvor trawler captains.
We recommend you book
well in advance.
